This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, and share your information when you use Forage (the App) to access and process emails in Gmail. By using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy and the processing of your information as described herein.
A. Access to Google User Data
The App uses Google Sign-In to authenticate users and access email data in Gmail. Access is granted by users explicitly throughGoogle's OAuth 2.0 authorization framework.
B. Scope of Email Access
The App accesses your Gmail messages via the official Gmail API to filter and identify emails relevant to the features you choose to use. The App only processes emails that are pertinent to these features and does not access any data beyond what is needed to provide the core functionality of the App.
Forage complies with all applicable Google OAuth policies and requirements, including but not limited to:
A. Storing Relevant Emails
The App temporarily stores relevant emails so they can be displayed within the App. This data storage is limited to emails identified as relevant to the features you actively use within the App.
B. Non-Relevant Emails
The App does not store or retain any data from emails that are not relevant to the selected features.
A. Use of Generative AI Models
To enhance your experience, the App may use secure, remote generative AI models to process and summarize relevant emails. These models are designed to provide summaries or other features based on the content of the relevant emails.
B. No Use of Google Workspace APIs for AI/ML Model Training
We do not use data obtained through Google Workspace APIs, including Gmail data, to develop, improve, or train generalized artificial intelligence (AI) or machine learning (ML) models.
The App does not share your Gmail data with any third-party entities for purposes beyond delivering core App functionalities. Relevant emails may be processed by generative AI systems, but only in a way that adheres to data privacy and security standards.
The App implements industry-standard security measures to safeguard your data, including secure data transmission and encryption protocols. However, we cannot guarantee absolute security of data transmitted over the internet.
You have control over the permissions granted to the App via Google Sign-In. You can modify or revoke these permissions at any time through your Google account settings. Upon revocation, the App will no longer have access to your Gmail data, and any stored relevant email data will be deleted from our systems.
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Changes will be posted within the App, and continued use of the App after any changes signify acceptance of the revised policy.
